Cokin filter system, or round screw filters?

I am just about to buy some filters for my pentax DSLR camera. I want a neteral density filter and a polarzing filter. I was wondering which filter is best, should I spend a bit more and buy the Cokin filter sysetm where you attach a holder onto the fron of your lens and slot square glass filters into it, or spend less and get the round screw on filters?
What are the pros and cons of each?
thanks!

Personally I prefer round filters

Generally speaking: cokin filters are more troublesome to use. You have to screw on the ring, then snap on the filter holder, then slide the filter in. Yikes. And afterthat, you must take them all off because you can't put hte lenscap back on. Also, if you are using wide lenses, you can cause severe vignettes (dark circle around hte picture).
However, COlkin have more filters and more uses. Round ones are more difficult to find, especially if you have lenses with different thread sizes (i overcome this by using step rings)
At the end of the day, I use colkin filters when I'm doing landscape percise work. I use round filters for everyday use. I still use colkin because i bought them before discovering round filters. The only real time I see an advantage of using COlkin filters is when I"m shooting a landscape and using a ND grad filter.

Neutral Density
Cokin - fine if you are already using a set of colkin
- the filter is further away from the lens. It becomes more prone to flare
- colkin has a history of causing a weird purple hue to sunrise photos. Especially in their ND grad filters.

Neutral Density grad filter:
Colkin - more accurate, you can move the horrizon line to match your picture
Round - more convenient. The horizon is stuck in the middle (in shooting landscape you typically want to follow the rule of thrids). You'll need to crop it to get the picture you want.

Polarizing:
Colkin: if you already have it, fine. However it takes a lot of setup and packup
Round filters: my preference. simple, screw on, screw off.
