I bought a Krystal Clear saltwater filter for my pool, is the operating time in the manual weekly or daily?
Also, do I have to follow it exactly?
Generally you want to operate your filtration pump enough to turn your pool water over one time per day.
You can start at 4-6 hours/day and see if the water needs additional filtration like being cloudy. If you see this then increase your filtration time.
You need to know your system sounds like a saltwater with a chlorine generator. If so, your unit makes chlorine and needs to run longer to make the right amount for your pool size.
