My timer trips gfci on my Intex pool pump.?
Just bought an Intex pool with pump. The pump power cord has a built in GFCI in the plug (complete with test and reset buttons). If I unplug it, it trips. I want to use a timer for the pump but the timer trips it too. I'm using a 3-prong timer. Is there ny way to get a timer to be compatible with this annoying GFCI (short of cutting the cord and rewiring it)?
Thanks. No it's not GFCI at the breaker or the outlet. I'll try at the breaker since that should cover everything.
are you using a GFCI protected circuit for all this electrical
supply? If not that is probably why the circuit continually trips.
Have a GFCI plug installed and make sure it is protected at the
circuit breaker or GFCI protect the circuit entirely at the Breaker box.
