Is it possible to make 12V DC powered coil gun?
This one works with 12V DC

but it uses microswitch. While mine will going to use capacitor.
If it's possible, what capacitor should I use?
If you use the same coil, you will need a large 12 volt (or higher) capacitor (I'd use a 15 volt or 20 volt unit)
The link states the energy is less than 0.5 Joule
E = ½CV² = ½QV
Energy in a cap in Joules
0.5 = ½CV² = ½C12²
C = 1/144 F = 7000 µF
