Does anyone Know The flow gph for a 1/2in hose syphoning water from a fish tank is? fish tank is about 24in?

Does anyone Know The flow rate for a 1/2in hose syphoning water from a fish tank is? fish tank is about 10in above from where the water is going? please help someone, lol making a filter for my fish tank and the jethead i have right now is to weak isnt flowing strong enough to take all the water out before my container gets full.

Sorry, but what you are trying to do is just doomed to fail. You cant match the flow of the syphon to the flow of the return pump, they will just never be exactly the same.

What you need is an overflow device in the tank. That way the water coming out of the tank allways matches the inlow from the pump.

Either you need to drill a hole in the tank and put in a 'stand pipe' that determines the maximum water level. Or build a modified syphon tube to act as an overflow control. Check out this page for a DIY Overflow design.
